Hello,

I bought a prebuilt computer a couple of months ago since I don't know much about building Pc's. It worked wonderfully but I knew I wanted to upgrade a couple pieces in the future, so recently I bought a AMD Ryzen 5 2600, and even though I was a little scared to upgrade it on my own knowing near to nothing I got through it. Piece of cake!

Fast-forward a couple of days later, I got the bug to upgrade more of the computer. I needed more Ram to be able to play some of the other games I had been eyeballing, so I looked online and made sure that my motherboard (which is a A320M-HDV R4.0) I ended up buying CORSAIR - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2PK x 8GB) 3.2 GHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Memory Kit - Black. To install both of the sticks I needed to rotate the heatsink 100' degrees so that it wasn't blocking one of the slots anymore. ( the one that wasn't in use with the old Ram) So all is good new ram is installed, heatsink and processor are all hooked up. Well when I plug the computer back in and try and boot it I am met with unfortunate sight, nothing is displayed on the monitor. I tried a couple of different monitors to make sure it wasn't that one, nothing. I tried DVI cables, nothing... I took the ram out and tried again.. nothing. I tried putting in the old ram that I was using before this issue arose and still nothing.

The computer was working fine before I installed the new ram into it, I was able to use it and play games just fine. It was when I tried to use the computer with the new ram that the picture just doesn't show, no matter what monitor I use or cable. Now the clarify, the computer turns on, it doesn't make any unusual sounds when it turns on either. It'll stay on and not restart it's self either, it just stays on without any display showing on the monitor. I am unsure on what to do, I have been talking to a friend of myn that built his own PC and is pretty well versed in computers, but to no avail. I am worried that I may have done something wrong and would have to fork out more money to get a new motherboard or something like that?

I have posted my question on a reddit page for my motherboard and have tried taking out the coin battery for 10min wile holding down the power button (with the computer unplugged to drain the remaining power) and nothing... some people have said that I need to update my BIOS, I looked inside my computer and saw that the BIOS was P3.70 and googling that says that its update is from july 2020 so it shouldn't be an issue, I think? I am unsure how I would be able to update the BIOS without a display anyway.

Thanks for reading this sob story, hopefully someone will have a solution to this problem, I appreciate any help and tips...

Have you tried putting the old RAM in to see if it's just the RAM not working with the system?
