Ram not Speeding Up

Hey all. Ive been having trouble with my ram, and I only noticed it now. I have a 3600mhz 16gb kit from G.Skill, but my computer wont boot into windows on any speed faster than 2133mhz. I have an R5 2600, so the cpu should not be an issue. Are they any common fixes to this? I have a 500w power supply if that matters.

Not to be that guy...... but was it setup to do so?
You have to go into the bios and set it, the bios won't do it for you.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

What's your Motherboard Make/Model and Have you Updated the Bios to ensure proper ram compatibility?

What kit of g.skill? I have a kit of ripjawsV that barely run on my system...

Its an AsRock B450M/ac that is set up to run speeds up to 3200mhz, which I have not gone beyond. I have never updated the bios.

Could be a dead RAM stick, try just using one of the two and load XMP

Both sticks also were detected in Win.

 

RMAed them and the new kit worked
