(I kinda don't want to wait for Zen 3 because its going to be more expensive than the Zen 2 CPU's)

 

OKAY so bit of a dilema- 

i want to get the following CPU & GPU but i'm reading on reddit that i will be majorly bottleneck and not worth gettting the two together

Ryzen 7 3800XT

Gigabyte GeForce RTX3080 Aorus Extreme 10GB GDDR6X

 

Can you guys settle this for me! I don't trust people more than the LTT community

There is a lot of wasted money in that build i.e Cooler, GPU and SSD. 

 

Also it is literally 3 weeks until Ryzen 5000 launches, and with a $5000 budget there is no reason why you can't afford a 5800X.

what resolution and rfresh rate? for 1440p and 4k it will be fine.

at 1080p, you're better off waiting for the ryen 5000 series.

you're spending 3-4k on a pc and you don't want to spend $100 more for 20% more performance? that's weird
