Watch temperatures, and watch clockspeeds.

Did you reinstall gpu drivers via DDU?

Are those his specs or yours?

Does it work in another PC as well?

Need more information.  What is his setup?  How old is your PSU?  What resolution are we talking about?  Is your CPU overclocked, is his?  What motherboard?  What are your temperatures like compared to his?  What case (a picture of your setup would be helpful as you may have some simple airflow issue you can fix)?

You definitely shouldn't be seeing worse performance than a 1080 Ti, and I'm saying that as someone who went from a 1080 Ti FTW3 Hybrid to a 3080 FTW3 Ultra as of yesterday.

I have a 3080 ftw3 ultra paired up with a 9900k oc'd at 4.9ghz and 3200mhz ram. I am also seeing very low performance compared to benchmarks from other youtubers and what not at the exact same settings on games tomb raider. I used port royal benchmark too and it gave me a score of a little over 10,880. Is this normal or did we just get terrible cards?

At stock with no optimizations, my 3080 FE gets 11090 on Port Royal.

So this grabs my interest every several weeks. My ASUS TUFF 3080 has a hard time breaking 11000 on port royal. Today with a cold card and power limit at 117% I got a 10848. When sites like tech radar report 11449 for their TUFF 3080 i figure my card preforms worse than there.
