Basic Overclocking Question

Hi guys, ive been living under a rock and pretty behind when it comes to tech and i am trying to catch up.

 

So, do i still need Z motherboard to overclock intel CPU? and what about the new Ryzen CPU?

To overclock an intel unlocked CPU (k series), you need a Z series mobo. For AMD, anything B or X Series supports overclocking with Ryzen.

Does all AMD CPU support OC?

and which AMD CPU has integrated graphics?

All Ryzen CPUs are unlocked. You can tell if a Ryzen CPU has an iGPU if it has a G at the end of its name, ex. Ryzen 5 3400g.

So just to make sure, all Ryzen CPU except the one that has "G" doesn't have an integrated graphics?

Yes, all desktop Ryzen CPUs without a G do not have an iGPU.
