80+ rating doesnt tell you anything usefull other than it being able to hit some efficiency criteria........

 

wattage also not that helpful, given one wants a quality PSU before wattage. 

 

ideally he wants a DC-DC or Dual Mag Amp topology PSU, but that usually involves looking at reviews. As few companies specify what they are using. 

 

@ltt nerd depends a bit on how much you are spending aswell, and where you are spending it. hard to point to anything specific without that.
