Automatic 18.04 to 20.04 breaks interface

The Ryzen 2400g is a strange beast. It is fine in Windows 10 but it needed a kernel upgrade for 18.04.

 

I did the automatic upgrade to Xubuntu 20.04.  After upgrade, I started to get interface hang.  

Xubuntu already has a kernel compatible with the Ryzen 2400g

 

I upgraded the Asrock ITX B450 to the latest BIOS compatible with the Ryzen 2400g

 

I upgraded to the latest stable kernel.

 

I still have a lot of troubleshooting to do on the system

maybe update drive? or wait for a new kernel patch
