RTX 3080 PNY

MarcoPa

Hi All,

Throught Amazon i've been able to pre-order a 3080 from PNY but i can't find any reference about this brand; do you know how it is?

because i've got it for 830€ and i can delete the order if i will; honestly i just got it as it was avaiable and i was seeking some opinions

PNY is a well known brand, you're fine.

I have a PNY 3080 myself and dont have any issues.

Edit: PNY is also a huge supplier of the Quadro series (professional GPUs).

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Nothing. I run it watercooled where it maxes out at 52°C and the clock stays above 2000MHz all the time without me manually overclocking it. Just GPU Boost 2 doing it's thing. No crashing on my part. If you really care, it also has 2 MLCC arrays and 4 POSCAP capacitors. So over the "minimum" requirements from NVIDIA.

Which one do you have?

IDK even what the differences even are between these two besides the cooler design; they seem to have the same frequency and even the same name.

Also, do you know what power limit your card has?

This is the one i have: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-geforce-rtx-3080-10gb-xlr8-gaming-epic-x-rgb-triple-fan-graphics-card/6432655.p?skuId=6432655

Afaik the only different is the cooler/RGB design. The other one actually seems like it has a better cooler from the looks of it.

TDP is the standard 320W and i can increase it to 109% in MSI afterburner.

So weird though they'd have two different cards with the same name. Confusing!

Thanks for the information.

I have had one PNY GPU (a 650 Ti) and a couple of PNY SSDs and they've been problem-free.
