I'm thinking about getting the Ryzen 5600x and pairing it with the nvidia rtx 3070 coming out later this month, I have a question. Will the 5600x psit/boot with an Asus Tuf x570 plus (wifi) out the box or do I meed to buy another cpu to update the bios?

Depending on where you buy it from, the store could flash it for you before shipping it out. Otherwise, you will most likely have to flash it with another CPU first

What he said, however. If the store will not flash it, AMD has a cpu loan program.

At the beginning of a cpu life cycle you'll definitely need to flash the board beforehand. Both options above are proper
