1070 Upgrade advice

Hi guys, 

 

I am currently running a 3800x and a MSI GTX 1070 8gb card from a few years ago, im really looking at a GPU upgrade this year as want to be able to run the AAA games coming out near over the next few months.

 

now obviously i know all the new Nvidia cards are currently launching but with stock issues i dont really wanna wait for the 3070 release to not be able to get one for months anyway. 

 

any suggestions on cards to look at in the mean time? i was expecting prices to drop with the new launch but obviously stock issues has kinda screwed that

A 1660 super for a mild upgrade or a 1080 ti for stronger, really the other cards in the 10 and the 20 series are not bad for simple raw performance upgrades.

 

Though if you really have to decide, 2070, 1080 ti, 1660 super in the decending order of raw power and ascending order of money, obviously.

 

Really depends on your budget.

since prices didn't drop on the old gen, i would recommend waiting for a few more months.

the 1070 is still decent for the time being and I think it's worth waiting in order to get more for your money.

There is no GTX 1070 "4GB" afaik, which card do you have?

nvm sorry its the 8GB, Speccy said 4GB and didnt even check my bad.
