Need some new speakers (for new build, IF I ever get the money)

I'm trying to find a good, but cheap, 2.1 set. Of course, black is good, and I would like for them to be somewhat compact. And for the sub, I would like NEED all around loud bass, with a knob to adjust the volume of it. I would like to stick around $50 USD, but I guess I can go to $125-ish.

 

EDIT: And I'll need something where my can't claw the speakers.

I dunno. Just right now I'm cranking my Bluetooth headphones, and I'm realizing how good of bass they have, but the interference kills them.

The logitech z523 is pretty good. It won't blow you away, but it has decent sound quality and adjustable bass.

Everything's going to be pretty much the same, but I'd shoot for creative because the satellites are slightly better than others imo. I didn't realize the ProMedia's were so cheap these days. I gotta head out and buy one now

Should have mentioned this in the OP in the first place, but I'll need something where my cat can't claw the speakers (I think the word I need is drivers).

They are called speaker grilles. The drivers are what you don't want your cat to claw.

The klipsch have speakers grills, they're just off for the picture.

LOL thats more than double your budget

I know, but I realize that finding good speakers around $50 can be a pain in the ass (especially with what I would want to get, probably), so I really loosened my grip on the price.
