I bought a gigabyte b365m-ds3h and i3 8100 a few days ago
I have an rx 570 for gpu
I want to enable igpu so I can use it's decoding and encoding features in adobe premier
but unfortunately when I enable it in bios my motherboard won't boot properly and starts boot cycle over and over again
I was able to boot after a few tricks with cmos and reset bottom but I still want that igpu
is there any way to enable integrated gpu??
I have 2 monitors that I use in extended mode and they have all of the ports my motherboard and gpu have
so connecting one to motherboard would not be an issue
and I am on f6c which is not even a thing in official website
any idea on how can I use that integrated gpu
by the way my main display have gsync so I want to stick it to my discrete gpu so I can use it in gaming

does the iGPU work without the discreet card? Try updating the BIOS, sometimes less stable BIOS revisions wont be kept in the website.

Is there any way to select which programs use your dedicated GPU and which programs use your iGPU in Radeon settings? I've never owned a Radeon video card, but there are settings in the Nvidia control panel that allow you to choose which graphics processor to use for certain programs.

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

it is a pc
in laptops yes that is possible but in pc it is not even recognized by windows so it is not an option to choose from

I don't think so
software based decoding can not be compared to hardware based decoding

....it can if you are using very slow hardware , such as an igpu vs any actual gpu. Your cpu is using software but your cpu is far faster than your igpu.

what effects are you adding in premiere that supports encoding via the gpu because only some effects are accelerated by it.

It's not using the iGPU but the dedicated Quicksync hardware encoding/decoding module. But that gets disabled along with the iGPU, so you need the iGPU enabled to use it.

any fix???

Unfortunately not. I've done that on 2 systems and in both cases it was only a matter of flipping the BIOS option to keep the iGPU running when another is detected and it worked flawlessly.
