Upgrade help

Hello guys,

This is my first time posting something on the forum so please tell me if I'm doing something wrong .

So now my question:

I want to upgrade my 7870 XT and my budget is around €300. My other specs are: FX-8350 @ 4.8 ghz; 8gb 1600mhz ram; asus sabertooth 990fx; samsung 830 128gb ssd and I play at 1080p.

I can get 2 used Asus 7950's for ~€340 from a friend. Or I could get a new R9 280x for ~€260. Or something else...? I'm not really sure what to get so please help.

Both will be an improvment. But the 7950Xfire is a nice upgrade, if they still run nicely and so on that is.

 I'd just go with a 280x then buy another one in the future.

 

What's your power supply? You need a decent power supply to run two 7950s.

 

Both are viable options.

I asked my friend and he said that one of the 7950's was repaired with a mosfet operation. It works great still so I think I'll go for the 7950's for that pirce. Thanks!
