Hey guys
so I just bought a brand new 64 GB SSD off of an Iranian online website for under 13 USD plus shipping which is really expensive in my country(Iran).
now that it arrived. i have no idea what is this thing.
I just know its a 64 GB drive Sata3 with MLC Nand Flash and it is cacheless.
I spend a few days finding out what is it
but even with searching the web looking to find anything that matches this SSD,s part number and I find nothing.
even the task manager doesn't know what is it.
it just says "64 GB SATA Flash Drive"
but speeds are not that bad for a SATA drive!

420 MB read...250 MB Write.....Over 16000 IOPS on a singe 1 GB file

Windows on its latest version will run under 15 sec.

It also has a green activity led on it as well.
also, the seller does not provide any additional information about them.

it's just saying this is an "Apacer T300BA 64 GB SSD".
check out the pictures!

توی نظراتش گفته بود دست دومن و حتی ازشون بوده که روش ویندوز فعال شده نصب بوده این مدل اس اس دی ها بیشتر توی دیتاسنتر  استفاده میشن برای بوت درایو

in the reviews i read that they are used and some of them  had activated windows pre installed  these kind of ssd are used in data centers as boot drives

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

It's most likely an OEM SSD someone pulled from a tablet or laptop, or a SSD that was bought by a company as spare parts and never used, so sent to recycling or whatever... ending up in Iran somehow.

Being sealed in the original packaging (at least seems to be) would point to being new, not used before.

The Flash memory chips seem to be from around 2017, if that second line has the manufacturing date... so just old stock that managed to end up in Iran?

These kinds of SSDs are also made to be plugged directly on motherboards or high end network switches (without cables, that's why no case), to load operating system, so write speeds matter less in such scenarios.

It's reasonable speeds considering it uses just two flash chips instead of four (the ssd controller has 4 channels, but ssd uses only two flash chips, the 128GB would have had 4 chips and use all four channels I suppose)... that's why the write speeds are lower at 250 MB/s

I wouldn't return it, I think it's reasonable price at $13 (for your country), and I wouldn't waste money on shipping it.

به نظر من اگه سلامتش کامله و سرعتش قابل قبوله کاریش نداشته باش

imo if it has 100% health and good speeds don't bother returning it

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

it has free return and by considering this thing was brand new

look at estimated remaining lifetime!
