Does the ASUS get bigger binned cards for the strix or is it just a different cooler?

Of the chips that Asus gets, they will most likely use them in their higher end strix cards when they are ready to go. If I'm not mistaken the strix card is more custom design over the tuf card.

Check clocks vs other models.

Even if not binned specifically, some models still carry higher factory clocks (30-45Mhz above Reference Boost)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I don’t really care about the cooler I am going to water cool it but I will be using the cooler for 2-3 weeks while I get the rest of the parts
