Ubuntu For High End Gaming Systems

Hi guys so I really like Ubuntu. But I am just wondering is it good for high end gaming hardware? And do you think game compatibility will get better with SteamOS? Coming on Steamboxes?

Thanks

Stick with Windows for now. There isn't enough support for any distro of Linux at this point in time. Ask this question again in a few years :P

Not worth it imo. Why highend hardware if you can't play AAA titles?

now why would you use windows xp as a comparison... windows 8 crushes linux in game performance.
