I was on facebook, and I found this picture. I'm getting around 40FPS in BF3 with lowest settings and 720P so I was wondering if I could do this. I currently game on my laptop for many reasons, but I want to get a desktop too. But I still need to save up around 700 euro, so I'm not anywhere near that amount of money. This could be a nice option in between. So I wonder, can I make this or is this 100% fake? And if it is possible, how can I do this? i'd like to add an MSI Twin Frozr 760 (OC)

I recall someone doing something similar a while ago, in any case, what's the point??? It completely defeats the purpose of a laptop.

I found this website, I think you need thunderbolt to do it: http://m.techradar.com/news/computing-components/graphics-cards/how-to-make-an-external-laptop-graphics-adaptor-915616

EDIT: you need an expresscard slot to do this specific method.

well if you take your laptop to work, you just disconnect, and when you come home you can game!

Not fake, but you need a thunderbolt port, and a pcie to thunderbolt adapter with the proper connectors for power. The amount of gaming potential is limited to the thunderbolt port bandwidth as well. You can also buy external enclosures that allow one to do this, but it those are expensive and not worthwhile.

IMO it's not really worth it, but if you have a thunderbolt port and can get the adapter cheap enough, then it's up to you if you want to try.
