so since the optus(Australian ISP) technician came to fix some problems with my cable connection. i can not access the admin pannel from wireless or lan

i have looked to check if default access address is the same as the one on the bottom of the modem and they are but its just giveing me on any browser i use this webpage is unavailable

 

the modem model is CVG824G v3 made by netgear

 

 

this has been annoying the crap out of me for the past 2 days.

Save yourself all the trouble and reset the router. There is small hole right beside the coaxial cable port, use a pin/ compass to press it for 10 seconds while the router is on. This will reset the router to factory settings. You will need to run the setup again to get internet access.

also to add to this make sure u know your optus account username and password as u will have to re enter that into the router.

Open up command prompt and run ipconfig. Should get something like this...

C:\Users\darren>ipconfigWindows IP ConfigurationEthernet adapter Ethernet:   Connection-specific DNS Suffix  . : lan   Link-local IPv6 Address . . . . . : fe80::c9f4:7240:8989:96ac%31   IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.195   Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0   Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.0.0.1

Note the default gateway, that is IP that you should be entering in your address bar. This IP will likely be different from my output.
