Trying to Upgrade A Z400 workstation..

So i already added a gpu to it (gtx 1050) and now got 8gb ddr3 ram.

The Specs: Z400 workstation

Intel Xeon w3550 @3.07ghz 4core,8threads

8gb ddr3 ram 1333mhz

500gb hdd

GTX 1050 2gb (Gaming X  by MSI)

Windows 10 pro 64BIT

80 plus Bronze 475w

 

Im asking you guys if the ram can be upgradable, the storage and cpu since the motherboards can't be changed.Im willing to keep the gpu until furthermore onto the future.Need it for editing and gaming.

As a tri-channel platform there should be two extra memory slots, right? So is storage, as long as the system is new enough to support SATA.

 

As for CPUs, more likely not. 6 core CPUs came a generation after the quad core you have in there, and as prebuilt systems are they have unknown support for newer components.

A Z400 goes up to w3690 or x5690 but only the w is overclockable. Regarding Ram you can have up to 32gb and i have an Nvidia 1060 on mine running triple screen 5040x1050 resolution  48:10 aspect ratio.

 

I have all the information here on the forum the Z400 is a fine machine, i can play all recent games
