I removed my m.2 ssd sticker when I installed it. Would it break quickly?

I heard its used as a heat spreader, I didnt know. Would this have any effect on my ssd? I know this is dumb but I didnt know about this until a couple days ago.IF you were wondering what m2 ssd I have its the Crucial P1 3D NAND NVMe M.2

No. In 99.999999% of cases, your m.2 SSD is going to be cooled just fine by passive airflow in your case. A sticker isn't going to make any difference (other than maybe voiding your warranty, depending on where you live).

Main PC:

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X • Noctua NH-D15 • MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk • 2x8GB G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600MHz CL16 • MSI VENTUS 3X GeForce RTX 3070 OC • Samsung 970 Evo 1TB • Samsung 860 Evo 1TB • Cosair iCUE 465X RGB • Corsair RMx 750W (White)

Peripherals/Other:

ASUS VG27AQ • G PRO K/DA • G502 Hero K/DA • G733 K/DA • G840 K/DA • Oculus Quest 2 • Nintendo Switch (Rev. 2)

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Got any questions about my system or peripherals? Feel free to tag me (@bellabichon) and I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

PSA: Posting a PCPartPicker list with no explanation isn't helpful for first-time builders :)

At most it will just potentially impact the performance of the drive. The NAND chips work most efficiently when they're toasty. The controller, on the other hand, can get too hot, and needs to have the heat removed in some form or fashion. The spreader label serves to dissipate heat from the controller to the NAND chips. You case cooling in general should be sufficient to cool the controller, but the NAND might not be as warm as it would like. That just means it won't be able to access the data in the cells as quickly, but it shouldn't be a dramatic drop in performance.
