if I had ants in my gameboy and monitor, at that point it wouldn't surprise me if I already had a few inside me

GUYS, I FOUND OUT WHY THEY WENT TO LIVE IN THERE!!! The glue on the tape used to hold the batteries in. THEY WANTED THE GLUE!!!

The glue *dun dun duuuuuuuuuun*. You should just go to your local super cheap or something of the such. They should have a set of triangle screwdrivers. Or you could buy one off of Amazon or eBay.

if you can lift it then put it in a sealed plastic bag spray some of that ant killing spray(not too much that it drips just enough that the ants will bring the poison in to the gameboy and kill everything) in the bag and seal it. leave it for some time until the ants are dead. open up the gameboy and clean it use and enjoy.I will not be held responsible if you f*uck it up and break you precious and beloved gameboy

thats sorta what we are doing, we arent using a spray though. We willjust disassemble it and brush em all out. Its in a plasic bag though.
