New 4k monitor's power brick is getting toasty

Rybo

I just bought a 4k LG monitor a few days ago and in the process of cable managing it, I noticed that the power brick is getting pretty hot.  I have no reason to believe it'll ever get too hot to touch, but it is by a wide margin warmer than any other power bricks I have around.

The monitor doesn't appear to have any overclocking abilities or anything.  Here's a picture of the data on the power brick and the specs for the monitor on LG's site...everything looks to be in order (by which I mean it looks like the brick is sufficient to supply the monitor's energy demands).  Anybody have any insights into whether this extra heat might be an issue -- maybe y'all have a power brick for your 4k monitor and maybe you can give it a little touchy-touch to see if it's a little warm?

Any insights will be appreciated.  I'd rather not start any electrical fires if I can avoid it!

How hot do you think it is?

Not sure, but I'm guessing less than 120 degrees F.  Once it warms back up for the day I'll put an IR thermometer on it and get back to you.

Yep, after 30 minutes it's hanging around 110-115 degrees F.

That sounds about normal for a power brick, I have an LG 1080p monitor and my power brick feels about that, and it is passively cooled, so it probably will be a bit toasty

Interesting.  Guess LG's just run hot.  I have like 4 other power bricks in my vicinity and none of them get this toasty.
