Help, DP not working

Long story short, bought new monitor Philips bdm4350 and had do buy DP in order to play at 4k60 (was using HDMI) when i today wanted to plug in the DP cable it didnt work, said no signal, tried All stuff like turn off disconnect stuff and wait, still nothing, when i have both cables in monitor it identify both cables (check photo) but when i set to DP still says no signal.

 

Also the cable is 10m long, but HDMI is 10m too, i have spare 1.5m long DP for some reason that one works fine, help? :(

try other DP cables and monitors.

 

if other cables wont work your monitor or gpu is the problem.

If it worked before, you may have kinked it somewhere. Maybe it has bad internal shielding. I'd return the cable. When buying a cable that long, make sure it is properly shielded and has the highest spec. even though you won't need it, that will give you the best result. Gold plated contacts are a nice touch but only to protect from corrosion, the signal is digital after all.

DP 1.5. working

DP 10m not working (need that one)
no gpu is fine, its asus oc 2080S

no, the 10m DP is brand new, just went to connect it and it wasnt working, gold plated contacts are pointless because you dont have golden plated contacts on gpu/monitor so no point buying those
