We will need to know more information such as what is in the media center and what kind of power requirements does it have?

 

15m is an awful long distance to power over USB or Ethernet if the voltage needed is higher than 5v. That distance so long you will have so much resistance that your devices wont be able to drawn what it needs. Ethernet can draw more so your resistance factor wont be so bad but still I need more info to give a proper answer.
