hi, so when i download an app. for example canon eos webcam utility i downladed the file, decompresed it and opened the installer, agreed to the terms and conditions and installed it. it said installed, you must restart to apply these changes. so i restart and then what do i do. i looked for it in the menu and file explorer. file explorer showed the zip file with the installer but nothing else. where do I find it. HELPPPP.

look in the system tray, it's probably already on as a system service. you don't need to run it.

to use it you open a app which need (like zoom) camera access, at the webcam options you can see the canon app will be active.
