what on earth is this videocard?

linus ive found a weird videocard listing on ebay what on earth is it, what the di^*ins is pci-x port and its got what looks like quad gpu cores

ps what on earth are geforce pcx cards? saw em listed whilst looking on techpower up, finding out original rrp prices for videocards, looks like its been bad priceing for at least 10years since gtx480 at $499 but then theres been $699 and $999 top tier cards even b4 that.

it is a PCI graphics acceleration card from HP workstations. it's like a pre-pre quatro card with 2 GPUs and 2 "co-processor" like chips which handled memory controlling if I remember correctly

interesting thanks shame i thought maybe it was youtube video worthy wouldnt be the first time linus has done a weird videocard yotube video.

Might actually be outside of his time too. Think he only really got into tech around the time AGP got replaced by PCI-e for graphics cards.

that would make a pretty funny video, PCI cards couldn't game well at all that's why AGP became a standard. My first computer (hand me down) had the card below this one originally for AutoCAD 2000 well before my time.
