So ive owned an rog pg27uq for roughly 2 years, and about 3 months ago the fan became unbearably loud, it was basically on full speed 100% of the time, totally unbearable when Im trying to work. (could hear it over headphones at a fair volume) So asus agreed to replace it, the first replacement basically didnt fix the issue whatsoever, so they agreed to replace it again. another week passes and I get the replacement, all seems fine, no noise issue like before, but this time the display is absolutely riddled with dead pixels, Im talking 4-5 large clusters in different parts of the screen. anyway asus agreed to replace it once again, and a week later I received it, no dead pixels, no loud fans, Thought I had finally got the 2300 pound monitor I had paid for. Well, 2 months later and the fan behind the screen yesterday started getting louder, and louder, and louder, until it reached max speed and after 10 seconds the monitor lost all power and wouldnt turn back on at all. I contacted the shop I bought the display from to inform them of my issues dealing with Asus, and I was advised to seek a refund because it has broken multiple times in well under 6 months. I emailed asus about this because the very unknowledgeable person on tech support live chat flat refused to help me and said only the complaints department via email could help. Yes the email system takes at least a day to get a response from which is annoying in itself because im currently stuck without a display right as im due to restart university. anyway I got a response back today from asus, saying that they are sorry but I can contact tech support to get a replacement.

They basically ignored the entirety of my email and told me to go back to the place that told me to go to them in the first place. Absolutely ridiculous customer support, I now have to wait another day to get a response to my angry reply.

In short, I would tell anyone to stay well away from asus in future, Their top end displays look the part and when working are jaw droppingly stunning, but frankly the quality control is abbysmal and their support is next to useless.
