Hey all, I have a H110i that is really loud, well the fans are, I'm using the Fractal Arc Midi r2 case fans, and they are loud at louder and even louder when playing games or when the CPU is under load. I'm getting temps of about 30 degrees at idle and 40 when playing games. I need a solution that will make the fans quieter. The fans are connected to the motherboard, a Z87X D3H, and are 3 pin fans.

you are using the case fans on your H110? there is your issue. those fans are case

fans for case air flow, not optimized for radiator support. so they will spin there blades

as fast as they can as the air isn't getting through the radiator. the H110 fans would

be a better option, till you find possible better fans to use over the 140mm R2 fans.

will stay much cooler so the fans won't have to spin as much to make more noise.

I recommend Corsair SP120 Quiet Edition. They have replaceable rings that are red, blue and white so they'll look great and perform well.

Dude, he's got an H110, that uses 140mm fans.

OP: Swiftech Helix 140mm, Silverstone AP141, or Gelid Wing 14 are all good choices.

I just got some noctua nf-f12s today and the difference between these and the stock fans is night and day. At idle they are almost silent and under load they are about as loud as the stock corsair fans at idle. They really aren't as ugly as I thought they were going to be either!
