Intel 4770 non k version

I don't really plan to overclock and I haven't overclocked a cpu in years. Anyone else have this model and if so what are your thoughts? I only get a 7.6 windows rating on it with everything else being 7.9 on Win 7 64 bit.

I don't own it, but if you don't overclock, it's a better CPU for the fact that it has more features. Useless to a gamer, but yay, features.

Windows rating doesn't really show anything meaningful and maybe because of that they removed it from Windows 8.1. The i7 4770 is a great processor both for gaming and just general use for someone who doesn't necessary want to overclock. 

 

PS: In regard to the rating, when I had Windows 8 installed, my i7 3820 at 4.8GHz was scoring 8.3 in the Windows Experience Index.

For non-overclocker its valid option if you really need cores and power. If not, go for i5 or amd instead (not saying that 4770 is better than amds).
