So I'm stuck on a 1060 3GB and I'm going to upgrade sometime later this year or early next year should I just go for a 2060 at lower price or get a 3070 when it comes out. I don't really play anything graphicaly intensive most intensive I ever play is minecraft with some bad ass shaders and GTA V with graphics mods at 1080p 60 - 144 fps (I have 2 places) Yes I know the 3070 is OP for this

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

you might find second hand 2070 quite cheap in a couple of months

The second hand option is not the best where I live

Considering you say you are doing well with a 1060 that only has 3gb VRAM the 2060 doubles that for you as well and also gives you the option for Ray Tracing if you really wanted to use it in Minecraft. Unless you are playing only new AAA title games on ultra settings the 2060 would work just fine.

My apologies for that then but I just recently within the last month upgraded from the 2060 to a 2080 super and in the year that I had the 2060 I never personally seen a game that I usually couldn't run at pretty close to max settings. Only as of recently after an update for Warzone I had to turn down some settings but the game still played at high settings at close to 100 with Ray Tracing on Im pretty sure.

So your go would be a 2060?

Yeah based off of my own experience I would say that a RTX 2060 would be a fine choice.
