  1. 1. Have you activated Windows? Select multiple options only if you have multiple PCs which are licensed differently

    • Yes - I bought a license for my PC through official channels
      4
    • Yes - I bought a pre-built PC or laptop and it came with a license
      7
    • Yes - I bought a "grey-market" key from an online vendor
      6
    • Yes - I get a license through work/school or am eligible for a free license as a student
      8
    • No - I put up with the "go to Settings to activate Windows" watermark
      1
    • No - I use technological means to hide the watermark
      2

So many people talk on here about how you don't have to pay to use WIndows, so I thought a poll might be in order to see - have you actually activated Windows, or not?

Thanks for reading all this by the way!

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

Could you make the poll allow multiple options? I have both a desktop and a laptop, which have different Windows license methods.

PC SPECS: CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k @4.4GHz - Mobo: Asrock Extreme 4 (Z77) - GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr 2GB - RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x4GB (8GB) 1600MHz CL8 + 1x8GB - Storage: SSD: Sandisk Extreme II 120GB. HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - PSU: be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W semi modular  - Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D  - OS: Windows 7
