PC startup issue

Go to solution Solved by SupaKomputa,

post code 40 means that it wakes up from hibernation.

after waking up, the pc will try to move the data from the hdd to the memory.

if it fails, it will try to reboot and resume with normal mode.

you probably have a problem with memory management.

check all of your memory slots, clean the sticks and slots with contact cleaner.

test each memory modules with Memtest86, make sure no error.

check the ssd space, ensure you have enough space for hyberfile.sys (should be 32gb or more).

run check disk on all drive, repair if you have any problems.

replug all sata connections properly.

open advance system settings > perfomance make sure you run pagefiles / virtual memory only on SSD not HDD.

I have a problem where sometimes I hibernate my pc, but when I turn it on after hibernating, it boots with post code 40 on motherboard, and I get a black screen with the peripherals freezing, and particularly the keyboard after pressing any key on it turns off its rgb.

After this sometimes the pc restarts on its own and sometimes i have to restart it.

Ive had this problem from the begining but it was worse actually.

In the beginning the pc would just freeze entierly when doing intensive work (rendering) on it but i solved it by turning off the asus AI ooverclocking in the BIOS

But now i dont know what to do.

I've had this pc for 7 months and it's getting annoying losing my work everytime

PS:

1-the pc is connected to a UPS

2-I hibernate alot because electricity where i live turns off and on on scedule, i live in a third world country so its bad.

Your last suggestion worked, there were no errors in the dimms.

Thank you very much
