Random Crashes

I just built a new pc and it has a RTX 2070 with windows installed on a 970 evo plus ssd, with 2tb hdd, everything has been fine until yesterday, ill be using it and everything is fine, then all of a sudden about 2 hours in every time I open a non windows program, ie. a game, it will open the window, then blackscreen and close the game, sometimes the program will kind of open but will be like 1-2 frames and then freeze and close. i can still use the internet and programs like calculator or windows settings. also the task manager doesn't show anything unusual during this. the only fix i have found is to restart, any help?

Remove and re-install graphics driver from the safe mode.
