Corsair CX550 (grey) for 24/7 operation

Ac01

Hello,

Is the PSU suitable to run 24/7 in a hot environment, with a bit frequent gaming. PC parts may include a hexa core cpu & a Gtx 1050 ti.

how hot is "hot"? 30c ambient?

some PSU are rated for 30c, if you're looking for a PSU for hot climate, look for units that are rated for 40-50c

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

according to this

it is rated to output its full capacity at 40c

and given your rig isnt too power hungry (modern 6 core + 1050ti  ~= 200W), it should be fine

The main concern is if it is capable to run mostly 24/7 for years.

Alright, thanks for your support.
