Hello, after faithfull 4 years my razer  kraken  7.1 v2 are finally giving the last mile they have - everytime i turn my head is like plugging in and out so that makes me think they are almost dead , so in other words im looking a good replacement for them (or close tot hem) .I'm in search for better sound headset since i dont really care anymore if they are brand X gaming headset and i want to venture to better quality sound. My budget is around 150-200 e and want to mainly use them for gaming *70* and 30 % for music like hard rock and heavy metal from spotify*, having a mic implement would help a lot since i dont have a dedicate mic apart from the one inside my kraken headset. My headsets are being powered by my motherboard which is an ASUS  x470 gaming f .

With all this said i was looking brands like Seinheizer GSP 350-500 and audio technica ath -50x  which for that price could get a 50e mic or something which lead me to be more comfused which some of them are so old (4+years) yet ppl stil choose them over newer .

I have paranoia since i watched famous streamers reacting to footsteps and can tell precisly where they come from while i play the game i can hear them but always comfused if they are left or right  or behind me so kinda want somethign better than razer since everyone keeps writting they are bad and low quality ( i can see about bad quality)

Sorry if this wall text seems comfusing - its just the way my mind tries to explain it :P

Thank you for reading this :D

all I/m gonna say is dont get the m50x it's pretty awful for gaming and for most use cases. I would grab a akg k371 instead and a dedicated mic. but if you really wanted a headset a cooler master mh 751.but if you really want to tell where people are coming from it's really hard to beat the beyerdynamic tygrs at the price they sit at they are open back easy to drive with great accurate imaging.  https://www.beyerdynamic.de/tygr-300-r.html?cid=lp_gaming

Good that you are trying to avoid "gaming" headsets. They are just a marketing gimmick and try to make audio sound good but fails terribly. You want a good pair of headphones and a good mic. I will recommend the DT 770 pro 80ohm with a modmic uni.

I agree with @rice guru The Tygr's are good for gaming and music. They are also open back unlike the 770's

PM/DM me if you have any questions about audio.

M50x's are not good for gaming. Their soundstage is really small. You could get a USB mic like a blue snowball or the modmic uni as I said to put on the headphones.

hmmm interesting picks actually , never thought those- do you think if i squiz also an amp would make difference in my sound quality?

An amp can make a difference so can a dac but with the tygrs they aren't nessecarry they are made to be able to run on board or even a cell phone as they use pretty easy to drive drivers. If you wanted a an ampt Hough then you can look at beyerdynamic's other offerings as well. But i feel the tygrs are just as good for gaming as the other open back Beyers in this price range.

made the mistake of getting the hyperx cloud flight.

for music they're underwhelming, both on bass and vocals.

for gaming they're okay but nothing insane compared to other headsets i've tried.

and the 30 hour batterylife they advertise, is more like 8 even with the lights on the sides switched off, the 30 hours are completely bullshit, (well maybe because of the volume on your headset it might drain the battery faster?), it's rarely above 14.

if i want to get new ones i'd look at some sennheisers,

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Tygr 300r sounds better and will perform better in game. But if you really need an attached mic the game one isn't bad at all. The tygr 300r assuming your budget is in euros is cheap enough that you can also get a decent dedicated usb mic.
