GTX 1660 not displaying.

My PC is only running with integrated graphics, not sure what the problem is. I made sure that the GPU is plugged in with the cables as well.

1) did you install the drivers

2) plug display into the gpu (doesnt matter but just in case)

 

what's the cpu?

intel i3 8100, worked fine before. i did a motherboard swap. even when i switched back to the original motherboard, the gpu didnt work. i will try to reinstall drivers now

A. Make sure you have your monitor plugged in to the GPU and not the motherboard.

B. If the issue is low FPS (even though you clearly stated that it it not), try installing the drivers with GeForce Experience.

If the issue still persists, hit up NVIDIA or, if it is a prebuilt, that company's customer support.

when doing a motherboard swap, it's recommended to do a fresh windows install to clear drivers from previous motherboard to prevent it from causing issues

yeah i reinstalled windows, im about to do the drivers. could drivers be a reason for the gpu not displaying?

Could be, but I doubt that. Have you checked if there is anything wrong with the GPU's pins itself?

if you're plugged into the GPU and it's not displaying, something is wrong, hardware wise

 

if you're plugged into the GPU, it displays, but it says "Generic Display Adaptor" then it's normal if there's no driver

yeah windows 10. but even with the ssd not installed i get nothing

not even bios screen? if that's the case, something isnt right

check connections, PCIE plug on GPU and PSU side.

maybe, ill check everything. hopefully its not a hardware issue.
