It may not work on a modern cellular network. Keep in mind that old wireless tech gets retired as new tech takes over. Many networks dont have 2G any more and 3G is going by the way side in the near ish future.

Edit:

Another thing I want to point out. Depending where you're at in the world you may have different cellular networks. Like in the US we have CDMA vs GSM. Back in those days things were a hell of a lot harder to get phones to work on multiple networks. You also have to consider the band support and stuff as well. Even now, not every device made supports every band.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

@Donut417 in my country we still have 3G and this phone uses gsm wich it what we use in my country but I need only the driver to get it to work

After doing some research is this what your talking about: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/766559/Huawei-Ets2258.html?page=11#manual, is that the device?

Not much I can find online about it. Seems to be a land line style phone that operates via Cellular. Uses a USB to Serial cable to connect to a PC. The Manual has no info on what bands it radio(s) supports. What Network tech it can use, besides showing it takes what looks like a SIM card.

@Donut417yes it's take sim card and I'm trying to get the driver to unlock it because it's locked to a dead phone company and put simcard on it.

Yeah, drivers probably exist somewhere on some sketched out website, but from my experience with unlocking phones, the company its locked to has to unlock it. While I know on some devices now days you can unlock it yourself, a device that old, probably not.

That being said, drivers are probably going to be XP, Vista and maybe 7.

@Donut417do you know place to get the drivers

I did see some post on some site that someone linked what Id assume to be a sketchy site. I didnt check out the site because not wise. I did check the Internet archive website and they had nothing. I do know the device came with a CD. You might look on eBay and see if someone is selling one. Outside of that, Id assume this was a device used in businesses and didn't see heavy adoption from the public, Hell its the first time Ive seen one. And that could be why a driver is not found.

https://www.fixya.com/support/t6860760-vista_driver_huawei_fwt post is from 2010. No I did not check the links. So if your computer blows up after going to it, that's on you. Personally I would just count this tech as dead and bury it, because I can seem to think this thing would be useful now days.
