Changing refresh rate

So I have a dual monitor setup, my main one 165 hz and my secondary one 60hz and im on windows 10. Whenever I do anything on my 60hz monitor and go back to my 165hz, both monitors are set to 60hz and, despite it saying 165hz in settings, i have to do in and swap it to 144 then back to 165 for it to look like 165. Help?

 

 

EDIT: My 60hz monitor is also a lower resolution than my 165hz monitor and use a 5700xt
