Hey so i have a ryzen 7 3750H with 8gb ddr4 ram 2666mhz and a 1650 gtx graphic card in my laptop. i have another ram slot open and i was wondering if i should put in a 16gb memory to make the total 24gb. the default ram is from samsung while i am thinking of putting a hyperx impact 16gb 2666mhz in there. will it be fine?

if the speed, voltage and latency is the same it should work. it is not guaranteed to work but it should. if it is different speed or voltage or latency it will probably work but still not guaranteed

It's generally best/recommended to add the exact same stick you are already running when expanding RAM capacity. That gives you the best chance they'll play nice together. If you don't, they'll run at the lowest speed of the two and you may not get dual channel operation (if it supports that).
