any body know if the warranty is void if the cooler is removed?

Warranty will be voided (almost always). There should be a sticker over a screw that says if the sticker is removed then warranty is voided.

hmm okay, i heard that some manufactures dont have a void warranty thing if the stock cooler is removed

I've seen a few cards that don't but for the most part it's voided.
