Hello everyone.I am new here

Started to upgrading my PC

Current setup

Core i5 650 (running at  3.6ghz > 3.9ghz turbo)

MSI h55m p31

8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 4gb x 2

MSI GTX 660 Gaming

Corsair CX600m

You can run any GPU on the market on a 8320. You don't even have to OC on a 660.

The idea is that the oldest part in my PC is My CPU and its only 2 core.

So i want the CPU which will Max out my GPU .

I think CPU is the bottleneck for the GTX 660 or am i wrong  ?

Thank for respond .

PS .  i am from Latvija ( East Europe)

Budget is about 200usd max for CPU

In that range can not afford new i5.

Will i gain any FPS if i upgrade to AMD 6300 / 8320

Or i can just upgrade to i5 760   4core 4hread

and  keep my MB so if will save me money

it only cost about 90$ ....

Hi, I'm not sure your current processor actually bottleneck your system, but keep in mind that upgrading cpu means change socket(most of the times) and going for an AMD definitively means having to change socket, so you have to add a new mother board on top of the processor's price, give a look on your current cpu load while you play a demanding game, if your cpu runs at 100% and your gpu doesn't get too high you definitely need a new cpu

if you have "4 real cores" you will be fine friend (not sure how much cores you really have, let me check)

your i5 650 is just a i5 of name, and is not at all a true i5 (sorry friend, intel got you), is a dual core

and the answer is... yes, that cpu is a bottleneck

buy that FX 6350 i will say (or the FX 8320)

APU = A10

Not all i5's have 4 physical cores. It is a true i5 with 2 cores and HT.
