Hello I am going into a technical engineering class next year and the teacher wants us to write about one use purpose for the Raspberry Pi. Does any one have a good article or some personal opinions about these devices? I know nothing about this topic and I want to learn some general info.

Thanks for the help.

you can do lots with a PI. my buddy set up a motion activated camera and attached it to the peep hole in his dorm. you can use one to host the entire 40gb file for wikipedia.

Ohhhh, there's a lot of things they can be used for. There's some fun things like this http://pi-cars.com/ or more practical things like this: Media Centre Secure VPN

EDIT: I know you can set them up to remotely control your heating at home, but I don't know much about it at all

I am turning an original gameboy into a full featured mobile game emulation pc, called gameberry. I put a couple videos of it on youtube, channel JaqiesGadgets . Thats one use for a raspi.

I am a female pc hardware expert and enthusiast, over 170 IQ, been in the tech scene since the 80s. get over it.  This message brought to you by me being tired of people which have problems with any of those things.   ~Jaqie Fox
