I have been trying to rebuild a old PC with a ASUS Z170-E board with a i5 6600K, but the system fails to POST. I have confirmed that this isn't a RAM issue, as I not only tried three different DDR4 kits, but I also tried the sticks on another build and they worked successfully, which narrows down the issue to either the CPU or the motherboard. One thing that does lead me to believe that this could be a faulty CPU is that the CPU LED blinks red once during POST, then it disappears but the DRAM LED stays solid red instead. The MemOK button does work, but it doesn't do anything after the test is completed and the DRAM LED continues to stay solid red after the test. There is also no sound that comes out of the system warning speakers during the POST when I have the speaker connected. If I were to replace either the CPU or the motherboard, what should I gamble on replacing? I believe one of the two are still functional, but I am unable to narrow down which one is. I've attached pictures of the socket and the CPU, as I don't know if I missed any bent pins from the pictures.
