New pc initiation

Go to solution Solved by ABadNameSniper,

You shouldn't need VGA output to get HDMI working. Have you made sure that the HDMI plug on the monitor works, by testing it with another device? Are you using a CPU or an APU? I don't think you will get display output of any kind from the monitor if you are only using a CPU.

Hi, i am trying to help a friend boot up his pc. Issue is, we only got hdmi cable to connect to the monitor, and the monitor doesnt get any signal with that. From what i read, you need vga to boot A new pc without drivers, but the motherboard doesnt have vga, it has dvi. But hold on! The monitor does not have a dvi connection, it has only hdmi vga and dp.

So, we are kind of stuck. Is there any trick other than getting a monitor with dvi connection to install the hdmi drivers with?

Thanks!

We tried everything until we managed to get a vga connected to a vga able monitor and it worked 😅
