No. don't buy usb mic, not versatile, a regular plug is universal.

You can use XLR to audio jack converter, but bare in mind it would reduce the quality a bit.

For a passive dynamic mic, technically you can just use an adapter,
For a condenser, no, you can't, they require 48v phantom.

Going off what @The Flying Sloth recommends. Buy a behringer umc202hd or something similar. Maybe even a scarlett solo.

I im choosing between auna mic-900b (USB) and Tascam TM-80 (XLR).

So will be still Tascam (xlr) better with reduction to jack compared with Auna (USB)?

This doesn't work and you may damage your microphone or your PC. You can't use a microphone requiring phantom power with a standard 3.5 mm microphone jack.

In general, XLR microphones are more versatile and should last longer than USB microphones. You can easily extend XLR cables. There are some really cheap options for USB interfaces.

But I have no idea which of the two mentioned microphones is better.

And will it sound bad when its pluged with usb , and not with motherboard which have integrated soundcard?

Integrated soundcards don't support phantom power. It won't work. USB shouldn't sound bad, but the cheaper options are only 16 bit which might be a little bit worse than a good integrated soundcard.

Yes. But there is no volume pot. I would recommend something like this:

@Geraltos

I don't know. The Auna is similar to the Tascam but has the audio interface built in.

The bit depth is just one small aspect of the whole system. But you can always upgrade the microphone or the interface down the road.

I heared from many peoples that Tascam is better than Auna,

but i dont know if i put 16bit soundcard to Tascam will it be still good.

Tascam with soundcard will cost 96EUR ,but only Auna will cost 76EUR.

So if it cost 20EUR more will it be better, than Auna alone?

Get the Behringer UM2 and a different cheap mic if price is the issue here, we almost constantly have threads where people complain that their USB mic is broken and almost always there's nothing that can be done. Since you're in the EU I'd suggest either the t.bone SC 300 or t.bone EM 700 because they're just about the cheapest mics I'd trust to not be utter shite (and they're both under 25 pounds from Thomann which is where you should be purchasing from in the EU)
