Hey guys, hope you're all good.

Over the years I've kept my OS installed on a smaller, separate drive from my personal files. So reinstalling the OS for any reason hasn't affected my personal files like games, photos, and videos.

I'm building a new rig, am interested in getting a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB as my C and D drive.

My question is, is there a downside to using a single drive with an OS partition and a data partition? Will I have difficulty in regards to reinstalling the OS or reformatting the OS partition? Will it mess with the D drive partition?

Thanks in advance guys!
