Crit Procces Died Bluescreen

Go to solution Solved by Guest,

Very 1st thing to try is clear cmos.

Anyhow...

It's a hardware related fault. 256_1 - probably cpu related.

For safe measure try another drive and cable if SSD or pull the M2 and install on SSD see where that takes you. Still have errors, take it to a local shop and try a different cpu.

I've only ever seen this error on a highly overclocked processor.

GL though! Blue screens are a bitch to diag. Could be anything from the way its described here. But that's my above shared experience Justin Case.

Motherboard: b450m Steel legend, b450 S2h

GPU: Sapphire pulse rx580 8gb

CPU: R5 2600

Ram: 2x8gb 3200mhz (runs at 2660 ATM) Corsair

Psu: VS550w Corsair, MWE bronze 550W cooler master.

The computer crashed and when upon restarting I had critical Procces died. I still could enter the BIOS. So I tried reinstalling windows but mostly crashes when in setup. Tried preinstalling and using that drive but still the same.

I could some days go to windows login screen for a few seconds before it crashes. Was told it was my motherboard so bought a b450 S2h  same errors however few days I could acces windows login screen most of the time (coincidence I think) but still died at random times bought new psu (MWE 550w)still the same.

When starting the computer I can enter the BIOS everything is default never overclocked. The windows setup screen won't crash in less the 8-10 minutes when doing nothing yesterday same even when accessing CMD. However it crashes when choosing install now instantly and same when accessing CMD today.

I tried looking into the dump files thread but I think you need to acces windows? Also I don't have a second system.

Did a memtest 0 errors

Also downloaded a few CPU stressors and no problems

The photo is for trying to run Linux from usb.

i had this a lot.

i just kept restarting my pc and looking at the blue screens and then it worked after a while

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

Motherboard wouldn’t be my first suspect for this sort of problem.  Very well could be something hardware though.  If you can get into bios stably but can’t run Windows that usually means something that either is a driver of associated with a driver.  Like a gpu.  Actual motherboard problems usually mean you can’t post though there are exceptions.  I don’t remember if one can get into bios with no dram installed or not. If one can dram enters the picture as well.  Only thing known at this point is it apparently isn’t the motherboard.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
