Oneplus bullets 2 controls not working and mic not working in calls!

I have had these since around Xmas 2019 and the volume button and pause buttons on them won't work on Bluetooth. They sometimes did on my 6t but not always and they won't work at all on my oppo find x2 Pro! 

 

This is frustrating and causes me annoyance daily! My other headphones controls are working fine but my bullets remain an issue! 

 

This wouldn't be a huge issue but my oppo phone even at max volume doesn't use my headphone max volume! They are quiet and I have to put it on max volume and use my controls on the Bluetooth device to put it higher! Tried contacting oppo but the rep wasn't able to solve it. Heard issue with pixel and Samsung users too! Probably a android 10 thing.
