I just got 2x8 ddr4 hyper x fury 3733 cl19 memory and xmp profiles arent working. it says my first xmp profile is 3733 and my second is also 3733. firstly the second profile should be 3600 cl17 and when i try to boot onto the first profile it boots in with 2400mhz speed not 3733 as mentioned in the bios. whats causing this weird problem

What CPU are you running? Not all Ryzen CPU's can run this 1:1 with fclk...

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

how do you know that exactly? what does the SPD tab on cpu-z say?

what are you using to  see that exactly? use cpu-z or hwinfo and check.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

i use cpu-z and i know because it states that on the page of hyper x

so it says 1200? if so then yes it's running at 2400.

you could try clearing the cmos, set the FCLK to 1866 (though not all zen 2 chips can do that) and try to enable xmp.

op is using this exact RAM

there should've been 2 XMP profiles, but only 1 appeared in the bios

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

cl20 and the 2nd xmp profile is the same as the first though it should be 3600 cl17

you could try using the second xmp profile and check.

and at what timings? if they're cl19 then it should be fine, why it's not 3600? check the spd profiles on cpu-z and check what xmp-2 is.

yea, you could try and set them to the advertised timings. also check the spd tab on the cpu-z.

yea, clearly says 3600 cl16 for the second xmp profile..

i sat them manually only 3 of them cuz the last 2 didnt work they were above the maximum so basically i set CAS latency and RAS to CAS and RAS precharge last 2 were numbers above the max and it worked but im on 3600 cl18 not cl17 unfortunately. i feel like there is something in the bios wrong

you could try..setting the soc to 1.1 and dram to 1.35 and then try 3200 with xmp and then try 3600 with those values and then try 3733, also at 3733 set the FCLK to 1866 and check if that works.

i dont get what you mean by try 3200 with xmp? firstly i set soc to 1.1 and 1.35 then what do i do with the frequency and timings?

set the frequency to 3200 while xmp is enabled.
