Hello guys!

My friend purchased a used Acer predator monitor, but it arrived with this screen damage. (Attached below)
What kind of damage this could be? Could this be repaired?

The screen has no warranty, so that option is a no-go.

Thank you for your response in advance,
Bence

I have one of those Acer monitors and they look great, but I have to tell you, that picture you took looks really messed up.  It looks like someone took a flat blade screwdriver and scratched it really bad.

Did you buy it from a private seller, like craigslist or ebay?  If it was amazon, I believe they have a buyers buy-back program where you can send it back if not satisfied.

When it arrived, was it in a box with a hole in it that would jive with the problem on the screen?  Do you have any pictures of it that were taken prior to shipping to you that showed the screen with or without any problems?  Sorry, just trying to think of a way that can be determined the damage took place while in shipping.

Hope you get it worked out, and may the force be with you.

Yes, it was from a Hungarian private seller. It arrived in a pristine box, with no damage on it.
My friend was kind of stupid, because he did not ask for any pictures before buying this(It is expensive, no bs).
Was just wandering, if this kind of damage is repairable or not.
If it is not, he should sort it out, if it is, I could try to help him.

If the seller did not explicitly say it's broken or defective, ebay still has buyer protection in place for you. Idk where he bought it though.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
